Is anybody going to make it to  the Autocross in Shelton this Year? Last Year was my First Autocross and what a Blast that was. They Planned on having 60 Cars and everybody getting 5 runs and only 30 Cars showed up and we all got 7 Runs in. The C3's were not very well reprezented with only 2 Cars. I wasn't one I took my C4. I'll be Working on my Car all Day tomorrow and My Car is headed to Blood enterprises Wed's for Dyno Tunning the New Engine. It has about 25 Minutes Run Time now. My Goal is to make the Autocross on the 28th.

Larry I think its where you get to drive the State Patrols test track out there in Shelton.

Twist and turns and you can drive that LT-1 like never before. Legally!

The Autocross is put on by the Northwest Assosiation of Corvette Clubs.  In other words it all the Clubs from the Northwest so its an all Corvette event. No its not done in the State Patrol Center. Its done on or at least last Year on an old Runway at the Airport.  They set up traffic Cones and Build a Track where You run Your Car agaist the Clock and not Agaist other Cars. The idea is if You Crash and Burn You won't Burn and all You might do is knock over a couple of Cones. When you start you cross a Light Beam wich starts your time and when you cross the one at the end your time is recorded. Last Year each run was about 60 to 70 seconds.  Although it is consider'd a low speed Autocross we were getting up to about 70mph. Most of it is tight corners and they have whats called a Stop Box wich when first viewed looks like your going to have to back up to make it. If you knock Cones over or shortcut the track they just add Time to your Run. Last Year I was the only one there who had never been to an Autocross and I figured I had the most Fun of everybody. My first run I layed down what I thought was going to be my best run of the day only to findout I was some 13 seconds behind the next slowest Car! Turns out I was missing a Turn and they were adding 10 Seconds. Buy the end of the day I was determed to brake out of the 70's and into the 60's and layed down a 68 second time wich not only did it but even beat one other Car! So what do You need ? Not much just show up with a Corvette that is in good Mechanical Shape. Wheel Bearings, Brakes and Suspension need not to be modified just in good condition. If You can't bring a Helmet one will be provided. The cost is $40 you can pre register or just show up the day of the show. One big advantage to this one is that You will be meeting more Vette people from the NW and that Your not going to a SCCA event where You will be Blown away by a Mazda Miata.

Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
This is the link I looked it up on the web.  There are Blue buttons that you can push to get to the actual site.  http://www.nwacconline.com/

If you look at some of the offerings you can see where they have a Link button at the bottom of the page that list clubs and even Registries.  Do we want to put C3VR on that page.  Seems like a good way to network?
