The V.W. Bugs in Mexico are NOT OLD, Tux..........now you have been educated on "Vintage V-Dubs."
Now I know I can sell that Bug for some $$ when I'm finished with the restore!
Glad I hung on to it.

I was watching the auction and also bidding on some tail lights for my '69 on Ebay and some
just out bid me by a second!!! Now, I'm P. O.'d!!!!

Yeah, the yellow C1 that went for $150k was nice! I knew there were a few out there with power tops, but that was the first one I've seen.
The C3s are starting to get up there too.
What did you guys think about them saying that the trend is shifting away from matching numbers? They thought that people really don't care as much about that any longer. As long as the cars look cool and drive great, they really don't care what's under the hood and body.

NO JOKE, THE C3 Chromies are going for a lot more than what I paid for mine, but that's been quite a while back. I can't believe it!

The number matching, mostly original cars are going for more - I've been watching a long time.

My favorite C3 so far was the 78 pace car with only 117 original miles.
Lot #711. Think it went for $38K. Someone correct me on this price if I am wrong. Still had the plastic on the seats and paper on the floors. Seemed like a good buy to me??
Also interesting, coming up is a pair (2) 63 split windows, that will only be sold together as a pair. Not sure when??
