Vince asked me to get his pictures straightend out for him and post his new ride. I have to admit, it a heck of a car. I'll forgive him for it not being a C3.
Sweet '90 Vince!
I hope someday to have a ZR-1 of my own. Good luck with the new ride. And don't get to many tickets with it. lol.

Thanks for the nice comments from all members, and thanks for the picture post. A few of the members asked for pix. I learned a lot here. There were times when putting the 79 L82 back together, I would come in here, full of sweat and grease, etc., and pose a question on this forum. Wait for an answer, and I would get several. The knowledge on this forum put the L82 back together correctly. It was a very nice 79, silver on oyster, 51K miles, and a neighbor bought it before I advertised.
Now I know why they call the ZR-1 the "King of the Hill", or the "Beast".With the new 500 HP Z06, or 7?, it may have taken something away from the ZR, but I would not think much. Last Thursday when I was coming home with this rocket, I turned the power key to on. I was at an intersection in the country, 4 way stop, no traffic, blacktop. I eased out in first, then stuck my foot in it. What in the heck is this? I shot forward like a catapult, got second and did not floor it, and these are the new Goodyear F-1's, they stuck like glue on the blacktop. Still straight line acceleration. I hit 70 in third gear, still climbing, got 4th, 110 mph. I backed off fast. There was more highway, but I chickened out. No more, and I slowed down. The LT-5 is redlined at 7000 rpm.
The sound of the engine with the double overhead chain driven cams is unbelievable. Does not sound like a car engine. Imagine a Caterpillar engine on nitro with a blower turning 7000+ rpm. It roars. And some Z owners add more mods to this engine. Changing oil, it takes 12.6 quarts, you have to leave it drain overnight. OK. This is the C3 forum, and I am getting carried away, but I feel more at home here then on the Forum, since this is the one I started with. This ZR1 has 15K original miles on the odo, I bought from the original owner, he ordered it new 18 months before production started. Only option is glass top, it is black on black. Sale invoice $61,445.77 with tax, admin fees, etc. My neighbor bought one with only 844 miles on the odo, sale invoice $88,025.35. Buyer paid the up charge. His was never titled, and the owner only had the factory MSO. I will keep in touch.
