As much as I hate to say it...C6VR is basically Stick a fork in it. Nothing we have tried to get going there has had ANY response from anyone other then C3VR members. Even the new members don't respond to "Welcomes". Of course, they don't always here, either, but at least there is SOME kind of activity with them, in the other forums.

Maybe C6VR is viewed as just a place to go and type in your name...for no apparent reason?

I'm sure glad this site isn't like that...don't know how long it took Adam to get C3VR rollin, but I know we ain't looked back since.

SHARKS RULE...

I think there just isn't a demand for fix-it help for C6 owners like there is for C3 owners. Initial cost of entry for a C3 is lower and open to more people. C3's need a lot of work. C6's can just be driven. If they have a problem, let the dealer fix it under warranty. I don't think you'll start seeing a lot of C6 forum activity for at least a couple of years. It will take that long for enough of them to enter the used market and become affordable to more people. And with older cars come more problems (and no warranty), so more people will need help.

I really like the C6. I'll probably end up getting one, but not until I can pick up a good used one (let someone else take that depreciation hit). I'll bet a lot of enthusiasts are doing the same thing. Wink

As long as there are cars, there will be gearheads that want to "enhance" the performance of them.
There were guys that were takin brand new C5s from the showroom to Lingenfelter, Callaway, and LG Motorsports for engine/suspension work. There are C6 folks doing the same thing. I think the forums are more than just a place for tech info...look at us here! We goof around and have fun, but we also try to help anyone we can with tech problems/questions.(Does this mean we're "goofier" than the C6 crowd?!?!?)

I firmly believe 95% of C6 drivers are not owners...they lease. So, there's really no interest in a forum setting for them. Unfortunately, the other 5% can't sustain the forum.
I hate to say it, but, maybe they(the 95%ers) don't deserve to have the knowledge and friendship the forum can give. If they're not interested enough to keep it going, why should anyone else be?

I'd like to agree but Corvette Forum's C6 activity is very active. I tend to believe that there are people searching for a "home" place to interact.

I think that what is missing is the "key people" to help develop this portion through infancy.

The CAC C6 forum is rockin, too. I guess that 5% would rather be lost in the big machine than have a home of their own...
What can we do?
