Vette(s): 2004 Commemorative Edition Coupe, Auto w/HUD. 13K miles in 2015. Sold 1982 Red Coupe
My policy is due in April.
American Collectors wants $312 for liability, comprehensive, collision and uninsured driver. The agreed upon value is $12,500.
I can drive 2500 miles/yr to events and shows.
Can I do better with some other company?

Jc Taylor Classic car insurance costs us $125.00 a year, we have have to keep the cars under 10,000 miles a year. easy to do! But your 82 doesn't fit under that category yet , Dwight. so it is something to look forwad to for sure.Aegisfang38401.8397337963

Hagerty's covers my '81 for $230.  Of course, I am limited to "around" 2000 miles, cannot drive to work, and have a squeaky clean driving record.

I have American Collector's as well for mine. I'm paying $150 annually for $21k value on my '78, but I also have a '69 Corvette and an Avanti on the same policy, so I know there's a multi-car discount involved.

Maybe your location, age, etc., makes a difference as well.

I would definitely check around.

When I was looking for insurance, the collectors ins. was cheap but there were too many restrictions. I finally went with MetLife, full coverage, insured for $20,000, NO restrictions, $470 yr. In fact, I cancelled Texas Farm Bureau and put my other 3 autos with them too. Well worth the little extra for no restrictions. Tx. Farm Bureau wouldn't even insure a fiberglass car.......EXCUUUUUSE ME!!! BTW, that's for a '71.

I know the voices aren't real, but they have some pretty cool ideas...

I use grundy myself, $30,000 for $180 and change per year. Keep the car garaged and drive when I want. Never been contacted by anyone other than sending them some pictures. Upgraded my policy last year from 20,000 to 30,000 sent a check, no problem. Just the way I like it.

I use American Hobbyist Insurance. You have to have a good driving record, but for $241.00 & 30K full coverage ( no DED) with no mileage limit, must be parked in a garage. Had someone run me off the road last year  & did $9000.000 damage ...had a check in 3 days & they said if it needed more they'd pay for it. My insurance stayed the same at renewal. I have USAA on the othe vehicles & this insurance is just as good or better.Alan
