Well, I've needed new tires on the Z16 for a while and the wife said go ahead. She also asked if I wanted to put new chrome rims on it since the special edition rims on it are looking a little rough and since they are rare, I can restore them when I have time.
(Have I mentioned she's a keeper)
So since I'm travelling I asked a friend of mine if he'd mind taking it into the shop for me.
Well when they were looking at the original wheels they discovered that one of the sets of spokes (Five sets of two) on the front had cracked completely through. I hadn't noticed it and I just had it off a week before I left. I've never hit a curb so......
I don't want to imagine what would've happened if the wheel had decided to come apart as I was driving down the road.
Well, with the new rims and tires on at least I have time to search for a replacement so I have originals to put back on someday.

Great car!
I don't know that much about wheels, but It sounds like you have the wife thing figured out!!!I do have a question though,When you guy's talk about "glassing it in" what do you meen? I just put a new fiberglass bumper on my 73 and havent painted the car yet. Can I glass in the crack between the new bumper and the finders? Do people do such a thiing and does it look good?
Thanks soon to be a lifetime member

Yes you can, I'm not a fan of it myself. Since the bumper is Urethane it can be affected by temperature. and that COULD cause the fiberglass work you do to crack. Post up in the Body section lot's of guys have done it, but I won't do it to mine.
