No...not THAT kind of fantasy...git yer minds out of da gutter.
I was thinking...and here's da kwestchun:
"IF money were no object,(
) and the cars were available, what 5 Corvettes would you have to have?"
Now...there's a catch to this "survey". They have to have been (Chevy)production cars, available from the dealer, not "tuners", or show cars. Think about it...
Here's my list, in no particular order:
'69 ZL1
'63 Big tank ZO6
'71 LS6/ZR2
'62 360hp Fuelie, big tank/big brake
'88 35th Anniv/Callaway(B2K)

Vette(s): 1979, 350sb, as my kids affectionately call it "shit brown" Corvette purchased in 1996. 84,000+ miles. Not a show car, but I love her just the same.
HOw about this...
2 solid axles (1 vert, 1 coupe)
A solid axle fuelie
A mid year and
2 chrome bumpers (1 vert, 1 coupe)
Mine is more sentimental, Get back all of the ones I gave up.
Start with my first, 74 4,spd Red w/Black Leather. I was 18 when I brought it home and boy what I would do to have that car back, Don't get mad but I think I traded it in for a 300Z. I was young.
2 Was my 1986 Red Conv, limited edition Pace Car, only 1600 produced, had the dash logo and all. 21 At the time and still to young to realize what I had. A import / exporter bought it for a client in Ireland of all places, I guess that is cool, I am half Irish.
3 a 82 with the Silver Green Paint, boy that was a pretty color, some kid driving home from school ran a red light, need I say more.
4 Was my project car, or should I say a toy to pass some time away after the first wife. 87 White Conv, way to many miles, a lot of money later and still not done

Then came the long drought, a new wife and 2 kids later. She never knew me during my corvette days. I bugged her for 3 years to let me buy one again. Finally one day I sat her down in front of Barrett Jackson Auction on Speed and in about a half hour, jaw dropped and all,, she said YES

5 My new toy a 1978, I looked long and hard but Finally found one in great shape and very low miles. Car sat in a collectors garage for while, when I got it, still had the original tires, all rubber, hoses, etc pretty much dry rotted. Took her to my garage where it sat all summer waiting on a new Power steering pump, Finally got it back and she runs and handles like she is brand new.
Happy Day's are here again!!!
Great question!!!
