While searching the web for the GM Heritage Collection I came across these pictures of Corvettes in the Heritage Collection. The purple Vette is a concept of the Stingray (C3) that never made it to production.
Enjoy, some cool looking Vettes there

Mark,
What a GOLD MINE!
I love the six headlights on the Manta Ray, although the rear vision might be a problem.

The CERV III is one of my favs too.
And the Mako Shark.
So we need to set up a special C3VR tour of that place. That would be so

Actually, the Stingray III(the puprle car) was a design concept intended as the replacement for the C4. It was built by Shinella in California at the GM Advanced Design studios, in '89, I think.
Zora HATED the car, and refused to EVER be photographed with it. The car had a V6, and 3-lug wheels
.
Most of the ideas garnered from the Stingray III were developed further, and incorporated into the Camaro.
There are definitely some kewl cars there, fer sher!! The Manta Ray has got to be one of my all-time favs, as is the Mako II. You've just got to see these cars in person to appreciate them fully. The Heritage Collection makes the rounds of major shows every year. I caught it at the 2001 NCRS National Convention...got pics of the cars they had at the time, which included the actual C5R that Dernhart drove, and the AeroVette. I even got to sit in the AeroVette for Mama to take a pic. Now, THAT car, was a turd, in terms of being taken care of. It was pretty rough....but...it was also part of Shark history. I actually sit in the same car that Zora sat in. For someone like ME, that is so kewl.
Anytime ya'll can see the Heritage Collection, no matter what cars they have at the time, you definitely should take it in. It is humbling.
Thanx for the link, Mark!!

It really is an amazing collection though, alittle smaller then the LaMay Collection we have here in Washington, but that's not all GM.

Spoke with a GM rep at the Indy Auto Show while discussing Pace Car 0001. How knowledgeable he was I don't really know. Anyway, ya can't just show up at the front door and get a tour. Groups only, as in car clubs and such. Gotta call and plead your case.
I for one would love to get a group together. Anyone?
Mark, have you found any info FROM GM about the Center. I've been trying to find a phone number.

[/QUOTE] Still working on it, best I've got so far was a Mapquest to the address. But I have been talking to a few people from GM, just no one knows who to contact.
The Heritage Center is actually in Sterling Heights, MI.
