If was a crisp, sunny fall day.
The roads were dry and just begging me to take the Vette for a little drive.
Although the temp was in the 40s, it felt good to have the windows open, cruisin down the highway.
Of course, I had the heater cranking on high.
I saw at least a dozen Vettes doing the same thing. Or maybe they were heading for their winter hibernation site.
Everyone that I waved to waved back at me. There were C4s, C5s, C6s and two C3s. I even got a thumbs up from a C4 that came up along side me.
I stopped at a park near the lake and took some pictures with the fall colors in the background.
Here is one of the better ones.

Not many more days like this one left on the 2008 calendar.
Hope everone had a great weekend.

I know what you mean, Dave. Margie and I went for a drive today too, with the tops off. It was 78 and beautiful. Saw lots of Vettes and other sports cars out running around enjoying the weather. Probably not too many of these nice days left this year, so gotta enjoy them while we can.

Nice day in NC too. Temp was 71 and it was bright and sunny. I took my vette and pepsiman took his as well for about a 30 mile cruise through the country. Only passed one more vette, a C5 we both gave him a big wave and he responded with a toot of the horn. I even had my tops off, wont be many of those days left, Im afraid.

Great day for a drive here in Indiana as well. Elaine and I just made a short run, about 30 miles, to top off the fuel tank, add some Stabil, and drop some just baked cookies by our daughter's place.
I think we've got nice weather through Wednesday and then rain and cooler.
Got a nice wave from a guy in a Wranger. Suspect he was just headed home to take his Vette out for some exercise.

Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses.

I put the top down on Saturday and Candi and I headed across town for some cheap gas ($2.11 for premium) and a great pizza place we know of.
We had to have the heat on as we came home (sun was setting) but the top stayed down. 71 on Saturday and yesterday and forecasted to go to 74 tomorrow!
I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!
