I've seen a few of the names of the Vettes here. Just wondering if we all have, and what inspired the names.

I call mine Sheena. My wife says Sheena is my mistress! She came up with the name. I have no idea what it means, but it fits the personality of the car. High maintenance! |laugh| But the list of things to fix is getting smaller (and bigger...)

White Witch. After the street name of some addicting powders. Car is exactly the same, expensive, hard to resist and will destroy you if abused. Plus. She's white.

Vette(s): 71 Colonnade Hardtop Coupe Torch Red with black interior originally L48 built to push around 360hp
When I first got my 71 the little girl next door said it looked like the Batmobile. So we called it the Batmobile for a while until I connected with the name "My Girl". Thats what's she's called today & everytime I think of her the song gets stuck in my ahead.

Mine does not really have a name, but when I do talk to her it usually starts with 'Dam-it Vette'. I think would do. |withstupid|

Destiny...she's my 2nd 82 CE. Steve found her down south, and as soon as the garage door went up, I had to have her. Plus, I've got all the CE crap all over the house! |thumb|

Vette(s): SOLD - "The Toy" - '70 Convertible
SOLD - "The Beast" - '90 ZR-1 (#682)
SOLD - "Betty" - '28 Ford Model A Tudor

"BLUBYU" - '04 Coupe
When I applied for license plates I knew I wanted a "vanity plate" and had several letter combinations in mind to use for a nickname, but I was always being asked "what year is your Vette?" so that's what inspired the plate. The temporary plates issued by the state began with 'ERM' so the bride started calling her 'Erma'. I started refering to her as " The Toy" and that seems to have stuck the longest (so far anyway).

When I first got the car, I sat back and took a long look at what needed to be done and how I was going to go about this project.
And every time I get asked questions about the car at car shows or cruz nites, I always refer to my car as "The Project."

I have only had my 76 for a little over a week. (Still in the Honeymoon Stage) But from the first day I had it home "Vinee's Rag" stuck. I kept telling my wife that the interior was ragged out and in bad shape so she knew right up front that this would be a restoration project from day one. It may be a rag but it's MINE!!! and I love it.
P.S. I didn't know how to add a photo to this email or I would have.
