|wavey| I've always liked the body style better than any other car, it's so curvy! So that's what I named my car - Curvy. Deb |cheers| |saluteflag|

Vette(s): Two 1982 Collector's Editions
This is an interesting thread. I expect next we will see "What gender is your car?" Actually, someone asked me that once: "Is it a he or a she?" I'm not even going to go there (yes, there is an answer to the question).

Usually, when speaking to others, I refer to them as #1 and #2. When driving, wiping, waxing, cleaning, paying for repairs, doing repairs, looking for parts, getting outdone at a show, getting "topped" in a discussion with a club member, when I hear a stone chip the paint, hear a new noise, etc., etc. - the car's name(s) is unprintable.

I especially liked "hi, maintenance"!

Hi
My 78 is named Beauty! She is my mistress.
When I tell my wife that I'm going to spend some
time with the other woman, she always insists that
she come along.

With her, it is a "love-hate" relationship, depending on her mood of the day! My wife sometimes refers to her as "the other woman"...close! |thumb|

One of these days I will actually get a pic of it out here. I had a guy at a mall kiosk air brush it.

Each of the follwong are used in my house with some regularity:
"The Beast"
"The Toy"
"The Batmobile" (I thought I was the only one with that one!)
"Sunkist" (Bought her in Florida no less!)
Tried "Fergie" (with the Orange hair) but that never seemed to stick!

As a 'kid' in the early '70s, I washed & waxed Vettes at a dealership; I figured when the day came that I finally OWNED a Vette, I have a name picked-out. I finally got my Black exterior/chrome OEM wheels/Red interior '82 Cross-Fire in May of '00, and I loved it(and still DO!!!). Additionally, it has the SAME paint-scheme as that of my idol, Dale Earnhardt! Try-as-I-might, I just CAN'T call this Cross-Fire, the World's Slowest Corvette, The INTIMIDATOR, so I just call it "my Black car" (my 12-second Z28 is Red). It ain't fast, but it sure LOOKS fast!!!
