Yep, they'll go away at noon (ET) on Friday so you'll need to change your URL info to point at Yahoo. I haven't picked a new place yet, still looking.

Vette(s): It's a 1976 L-48 auto Red with Firethorn and white delux interior, 68,000 miles. I have tried to restore it to NCRS specs and have recieved 1 Bronze 3 Silver, 1 Gold Spinner and Top Gun, Best C3 Vette at Chicago's Chevy/Vette Fest.
I made sure I gave her a name that fits. Meet Ariel. She is my little Mermaid.

Hi all
I haven’t given my vette a name (yet) but a friend of mine calls his “Pandora”. It’s a 66 425 hp big block with side pipes (man does it sound sweet). I asked him why Pandora, his answer was every time I take her out for a drive something else goes wrong or I get a ticket. Hence the name “Pandora”.

I've used a few names on mine in the past, depending on the situation, but the one that seems to stick is "Money Pit.".
I have a boat with the same name, & for my 2 play toys, it seems to be appropriate!

When I first got my '74 454 the door ajar light came on even when the door was closed. I also couldn't figure out the Astro Ventilation that was printed on the window. When I found out that vettes with A/C didn't get Astro ventilation I told my Wife that that was twice the car had lied to me. She then said "That settles it the car is a Male!". I told her that I disagreed and ran away as fast as possible, it was an argument I was sure to lose.
It's a Blue car with an Orange engine so I call it Gator. Could be male or female, depends on who is driving it.

Vette(s): 1969 convertible L71 427/435 4-speed black interior
My '78 Silver Anniversary I refer to the the "Silver Bullet" and the "Gray Ghost", and my '69 L71 427/435 roadster I refer to as "The Beast" due to its 4.11 rear.
I've not given mine an "official" name, but I'm beginning to think it's more like "Come on baby, you can do it!" which is what I usually call her when I turn the key, try to turn on the headlights, etc.
As for gender, I always thought that all cars were "her". Now, I'm gonna have to check! Maybe that's why "HE" has been so pissed off at me?!
Question: If you remove the mufflers, would that be considered as "neutering"?

I call my red '74 BLISS, but decided to change it to "The Terminator" - closely related to "Money Pit". I have the idea that each time I fetch BLISS from my mechanic the Vette roars out the gate with a "I'll be back" (as Arnold roars in his movies).
The blue '71 is called "BlueBoy" and is the example child of the two - had no problems and intend to keep it that way, then again - the Vette's have personalities of their own....
Doesn't matter what, I love them even more!
