Well the Blacray is sort of self explanitory, Funny thing is I picked somehow up the nickname "Tux" from the car. So nowadays most folks on the site and in person refer to me as Tux... (which is fine with me.)
My wife named our 01 vert "Blizzard" because most pf the time round home it only gets driven to Dairy Queen for ..... yep you guessed it that cool ice cream treat.....
The original A&W drive-in is in Lodi, Ca. Hubby and I make visits there whenever we are in town . Love that rootbeer.
My wife calls it "the car" sarcastically. She also refers to it as "the bathroom" since I took a loan out to buy the car & not redo my master bath.
I call her the Black Thorne, since she refers to it as "the thorne in her side."
She was never happy with me just bringing the car home one day without her permission (what am I ,,,,5?).
Basically, she hates it.

#2 -2000 C5, black/black, 6 sp, Bose system & lots of buttons.
When the Poop-On came to Texas, she came on a Semi Truck with a bunch of other cars. We met the truck driver in the parking lot of Albertson's (grocery store). My husband and son went with me and as we were pulling into the parking lot of Albertson's, there she was on the top row. I said, "There she is!" and I started crying because I was so happy.
Then my son said, "Mom, don't cry, you just bought a "Greypoupon Mustard" colored car. I busted out laughing on that one..........so that became her name.

I call my vettes my boys
, they show too much testosterone to think of them otherwise. My 1st vette (the '78) I bought from a good friend of mine who worked with a carnival company. He bought it from the owner of the carnival who had it painted "Money Green" and plated the emblems 10k gold, hence the name "Money Bags". The '81 I saw sitting along the Hi way for sale for many months, seemingly unnoticed or unwanted. I thought about it a lot, but I already had one. It sat in the high weeds and looked to be in primer gray. It disappeared one day and 2 mos. later returned and again sat for months. I pulled over to look at it one day and discovered it was a 4 spd. well kept (perfectly original except for paint) and cared for by mature owners. After making a deal for it I took it home and washed many months of dirt off it to find it was actually silver (but dull). I figured if it sat invisible for so long, with the dull finish, it was probably invisible to radar too, so he's called "the Stealth". Though he just got new paint (silver) I'll pray I still go undetected by the CHP
.

When I drove my Vette home for the first time, the song My Girl came on the radio. So when I walked into the house I was singin it. I've always named my toys, an so I asked Patty what I should name her, she said "how bout My Girl". So that's what I call her , most of the time. Like Ron, there are names I call her when she ain't co-operating that can only be posted in Anything Goes.
I wanted a Vette since I was a teenager and my favorite color is blue. After 20 years in the Marines, raising and paying for the education of 2 kids, and a lot of other reasons, I was able to get one. I named it Dejablu, a variation of dejavu.

We were looking at the car shortly after we bought it and my wife said it looked like a pumpkin. Soooo,, I named it the GREAT PUMPKIN!
She named the 03 50th Big Red. We enjoy both of them!
