Topic: How Warm Is Too Warm?
in Forum: All Vettes Discussion

Since we are finally startin ta get some decent weather out I wanted ta ask that question. Ya see this is my wifey & me'z 1st summer with a vert. I kinda likez keepin my scalp an body tone the nice fleshy color the good Lord gave ta me. I have never felt that pinkish color sometimes obtained from "Lovin The Sun" to be very becomming nor comfortable.
This is where the vert owners (or coupe that'z okay)can jump in. I figger the drop top guyz know all about "OOPZ THAT WAS TOO LONG SYNDROME"
Another reason behind my askin was I figgered I'd have the top down plenty in route to, at, an from Carson City. I reckon sunscreen & sunglasses will become the norm. (An yes Micki I will be wearin my swim trunks in route again.)
Sooo... any tipz, helful hintz, etc. ya'll kin provide will be much appreciated an most likely practiced!

Joel do you guyz really wear dem sombreoz in Teaxas? Ain't that kinda hard ta keep dem frum blowin off an hittin da fellerz car behind ya?
Some how I kaint picure this ol' REDNECK a wearin one o them funny hatz or uzin an umbreller. I kinda doubt I could bring meself ta wear me ballkap bakerds either. I werent raised like that. If'n Mickey M. didn't doer like dat I haint a gonna either.
Besides I don't think da other fellerz in da Caravan would appreciate havin such a Fruit Loop a ridin wit them much less me wifey!

Long before I had my Vette (as a matter of fact, long before I had my current wife!), I rented a convertible and drove with the top down from San Fransisco to Los Angeles. Funny, I always thought it was the East Coast that was famous for Lobsters...
I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!
