Vette(s): 1981 Blue Ice Met. w/pearl ghost flames TKO500 5speed. LS1 Swap 3.45 Dana 44.

I sold Michele's '94 vette.

I feel really terrible. It started out as just using the car to fill a spot with the local AutoTrader mag. We have a contract with them and must have 10 cars to show in the ad. So being that we were one car short, I figure "eh what the h$ll." I throw it in for a high price so it'll never sell and the contract requirements are made. Michele agreed and also felt the price was to high to sell. Well this gentleman stops buy and wants to test drive it. He loved the car so much he bought it and didn't even haggle over the price. Needless to say she was quite upset once it sank in. I was actually thrilled we made a $3000 profit. So now I promised her she could drive my car this year and next year we'll find her a C5.

So guy's, save yourself some grief and don't sell your wife's pride and joy on them. It really makes for a bad day.

Sarge

PS: the '81 is still up for sale.

Vette(s): 1975 C3 Red, T-Tops, Black Interior. All I need is time and money! Getting there!

WOW what a mind blower!   I would have never expected that.  I did like the unique color.

You better replace hers before you sell yours, or you be VETTELESS.    Can't have that.

But you can't argue with the $3000.   Now invest it in something sharklike and fast.

You vas a bad, bad boy!!! Adds new meaning to "you play ... you pay", doesn't it. Actually, we're quite happy with our C5. It has A/C, is an automatic, and has more leg room than the Shark - all of which meets Bev's requirements. We may be bringing it to PF this summer. I'm "personalizing" it - which I chose not to do with the '70 LT-1 - and she hasn't seen it yet. Hope she doesn't shoot me. Think you'll find it quite "interesting" when it's done. Hope your '81 goes as quickly.

Vette(s): 1972 conv., sunfire yellow, blk interior, blk vinyl and convertible top. Off frame restoration with American Speed 383 stroker engine producing 500hp plus a 200hp NOS system. MSD ignition. Hooker super competition headers with chambered exhaust.

Sarge,

That $3000 that you are calling "profit" will more than likely end up as new shoes, outfits, purses, etc. for Michele. Dang....she's gonna look good driving YOUR car.

Sorry about your tale and feelings but amazing it sold for so much, but yes you have a downpayment on a c5 now for Michelle. put it in the bank for interest and a few dollars more.    I'd be dead if I even mentioned selling Colleen's Ian.

Sarge,

You may need to reinvest the $3000 pus some booty to give her a new pride in joy. That's the beautifull thing about $$$. Until you complete this task just bow down each time you see her loving smile and repeat this chant....

Wow!! Who'da thunk it, eh?
Mama would probably cut something vital off my body if I did that with her 'Vette(or mine, for that matter )!!
The good thing tho, is ya'll did make a wee bit-o-scratch on it!! Can't complain about that!

Sarge,

Bev had a thought - "Why didn't you list YOUR car" instead of Michelle's? Maybe it would have sold for big $$$. And you wouldn't be in the "dog house"!!!
