Topic: I did something bad
in Forum: All Vettes Discussion
I sold Michele's '94 vette.
I feel really terrible. It started out as just using the car to fill a spot with the local AutoTrader mag. We have a contract with them and must have 10 cars to show in the ad. So being that we were one car short, I figure "eh what the h$ll." I throw it in for a high price so it'll never sell and the contract requirements are made. Michele agreed and also felt the price was to high to sell. Well this gentleman stops buy and wants to test drive it. He loved the car so much he bought it and didn't even haggle over the price. Needless to say she was quite upset once it sank in. I was actually thrilled we made a $3000 profit. So now I promised her she could drive my car this year and next year we'll find her a C5.
So guy's, save yourself some grief and don't sell your wife's pride and joy on them. It really makes for a bad day.

WOW what a mind blower! I would have never expected that. I did like the unique color.
You better replace hers before you sell yours, or you be VETTELESS. Can't have that.
But you can't argue with the $3000. Now invest it in something sharklike and fast.
Sarge,
That $3000 that you are calling "profit" will more than likely end up as new shoes, outfits, purses, etc. for Michele. Dang....she's gonna look good driving YOUR car.

You may need to reinvest the $3000 pus some booty to give her a new pride in joy. That's the beautifull thing about $$$. Until you complete this task just bow down each time you see her loving smile and repeat this chant....

Mama would probably cut something vital off my body if I did that with her 'Vette(or mine, for that matter

The good thing tho, is ya'll did make a wee bit-o-scratch on it!! Can't complain about that!

Bev had a thought - "Why didn't you list YOUR car" instead of Michelle's? Maybe it would have sold for big $$$. And you wouldn't be in the "dog house"!!!
