Fantastic, Ken.  Don't be surprised if he shows up in your next class.  After all, you did teach him a lesson.

Vette(s): 1979, 350sb, as my kids affectionately call it "shit brown" Corvette purchased in 1996. 84,000+ miles. Not a show car, but I love her just the same.

Ken:

Okay, you can put the can of Whuup Ass back on the shelf!  How much is it going to cost me to have you help rebuild my engine when it comes time.  Nothing serious, just enough to make it not so tired anymore?!  After all, it's only about 3 or 4 hours between us...one way.

Great to hear you had fun, you deserve it!

The can of Whup-Ass never goes back on the shelf.  Just in the compartment behind the passenger seat.  You may never use it, but it's good to know it's there.

Vette(s): 1975 C3 Red, T-Tops, Black Interior. All I need is time and money! Getting there!

The student in the Thursday, Friday, Saturday class was back today.

I asked a few in the class who owned the red Z-28.  They instantly knew why I was asking.  They knew the story.  It seems the student told his classmates about getting whupped.

I was suprised when I saw his car was in the parking lot.  But it seems he was just as suprised.  At break time some of them went to the parking lot, and low and behold, the car that whupped him was in the faculty parking area.  He told the story and unknown to me, they all went to look over my C3.  After break they inquired and their instructor told them who it belonged to.

I went to talk to him.  I explained if I had know he was one of our students, that encounter would have not taken place.  He also admitted if he knew it was one of the instructors, he also would have abstained.  Then his conversation got a bit more fun.

He confessed that he has run against several Corvettes of my vintage in the past.  And he had beaten them all.  Not by a lot, but he beat them.   AND he fully expected the same results this time.   He was amazed to find that he got "Trashed".  His words.

I guess trashed and whupped is the same thing!   He could not believe he got trashed that badly.      So he did indeed learn his lesson.

I confessed my car was no longer stock. He said he suspected that.
