Vette(s): Silver 1974 Convertible - L82 4 speed Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses. 2008 Jetstream Blue Convertible

Curious on two counts:

Has anyone ever seen a Pontiac Solstice modified in to an early (53-55) C1?  I've always thought they looked like it could be done - and I've seen some Solstice's that have had a Mallet V8 showhorned in...

I've seen C5's made to look like C2's, but has anyone ever seen a newer Corvette (C5, C6) modified into a C3 body style?

Corvettes and women are the same...You want to make love to them but they keep breaking down.

I've seen ones like the first one, but not the second...  Interesting, but not quite as curvy as a C3 (but thanks!)

Vette(s): White '79 Corvette. It's a driver.
Never seen a C5 or C6 retroed back in to a C3. But I recall a thread a few years back by DaveM in which there were photos of a really cool C3 that was mostly C4.
 Anybody remember that one?

The link leads to an old story, but I think it's along the lines of what got me started thinking about a 53 built on the Solstice (Kappa) Platform...

Then I took a look through Google Images.  I put a White Solstice next to a 53, then found the lower picture, which was credited as a Photoshop creation.

A post on the Soltice format also offered this comparison:

...........................Solstice............... ..........Corvette
height...................50.2..................... .............52
length.................157.2...................... ..........167
width.....................71.6.................... ...........72.2
wheelbase...........95.1.......................... .....102
track.............60.5/61.2...........................57/59
weight..................2860...................... .......2850
HP...........................170.................. .............150

As for the C5/6 built into a C3, I just love the idea of the modern power/safety/comfort/convenience with the best styling of a car ever!
