had this on the c4 site but figured as this site is my roots i would post it here too.
thurs nite coming home from work i had an accident with my 90. it was raining and this idiot behind me was tailgting me. had to stop for a light and the guy ahead of me made a right on red. as he was turning the light turned green and the idiot behind me starts blowing his horn so i flipped him the bird and he returned the gesture. i took off very slowly and figured he would get the message to back off. after i crossed the street, i figured i annoyed him enough and started to speed up. the idiot crossed the double yellow lines and was passing me. he cut in front of me and hit the front left corner of the car which sent me into a spin and the car hit a fire hydrant, bounced off and continued spinning and i wound up over the curb on the grass after spinning 1 1/4 times.
i just hit the send button on the phone for the cops and one was coming and stopped. he made sure i was all right and the other guy stopped down the road and he went and made sure he stayed there. there were 2 guys there that saw the whole thing happen and gave the cop their statements. they issued him a ticket and now i have to get the police report and contact his insurance co.
the front bumper is all messed up and the hood is cracked along the whole edge inbetween the headlights which are a little crooked. the left front panel has the scrape mark where he hit me and the right panel has a chunk of the fiberglass broken out.

going to take a few pics which i will post. i told the cop the guy was lucky i didn't have my escalade as they would have been picking up all his pieces in the middle of the rode. i thanked the two guys for hanging around and telling the cops what they saw. nowadays there are a lot of people that dont want to get involved.

Dave, wow, glad that you're ok. The car hopefully will be fixed to your satisfaction. At least it was only a C4....and not a C3. I'm only kidding
...you can hit me with your fist when you see me
.......NOT my car

Dan
That just rots!
Some people are so warped just because you have a nice ride they get this attitude that they must screw with you.
So what was this idiot driving, a piece of shat right?
I commend you for taking it so lightly, I think I would have done a bit more damage to my car.....for sure I would have put a mark from his face in the hood!

thanks guys and gals. i appreciate the concern. this what the car looks like now. paul saw it at his bbq and it was in great shape. it will be going to his insurance as soon as i get the police report. having the two witnesses makes it almost impossible to deny what happened. i was mad as hell but i wouldn't want to want him to be able to say to anyone he was in a corvette. i am sure the cops kept us separated for that reason. told the cops that he was lucky i didn't have my escalade as they would still be picking up his pieces out of the street. he was probably jealous that he didn't have a vette and all he had was a buick.

and he is d**n lucky he didn't hit the 75 or i wouldn't have needed the escalade to do the damage to him
