Boy, I don't understand the lukewarm comments here. I think it is the first vette that I actually like better than my 72 LT-1. I think that they had to take advantage of the design possibilities that the new headlights present. I think they did a fantastic job of taking the C5 to another level. With the C5 the front looked too rounded and the rear looked all too big. I think they sacrificed some wind tunnel stuff for great lines that were last seen in the C3. This car could slow some sales of C5's.

Not bad. It'll probably grow on people.
I noticed on all the recent pics, the the only place on the exterior of the car that says "Corvette" is on the brake calipers.
Wait! I get it. They are going add decals or stamp it into a body panel next year so we can tell the difference between a '05 and a '06. Right???

Hey Adam, since you work for the Chevy dealer now, let us know after you test one how it is.

Charlie,
You're right...they did a fantastic job of taking the C5 to a new level, just like the 78 model of the C3 was a fantastic job of taking the C3 to a new level. I feel that a new Corvette...should probably LOOK like a NEW Corvette. Not like a creased version of last years model. C1 - C2, anyone notice the difference? My mom can tell them apart and I told her I bought a Corvette and she said "a what?" But it is clearly obvious that a C1 is not a C2...a C2 is not a C3...a C3 is not a C4...a C4 is not a C5...and then we get this thing...which is mild body kit of a C5 with better underpinnings. Sure it'll sell...just not to me.

Don't get me wrong, It does remind me of something from Italy. That's not bad. There are some lines of the C3, that's good. I bet it's a blast to drive. I do like it, I just like the looks of the C3 better. There are a lot of other cars I like a lot. I just like the C3 better than ANY other car. That's just me.

I'll stick with my C3. I may get used to the C6, but think it looks like a warmed over C5.

Vette(s): 1972 convertible 350 auto trans, delux int, air, ps, pb, t/t wheel, pw, 79,000 org miles Rare one year only color
i think the body should have had a major redoing not just a mild reworking. it's look arn't cutting edge anymore. the C6 will be lost in a crowd. when i drive my C3 it stands out. people looking in their rearview miror will not know what type of car is trying to pass them. when a C3 get behind someone they move out of the way as a way of respect of what a corvette stands for. the people now will think it a mitsubshiti gt2000 behind them. they should have remade the C6 like ford(sorry) redid the new mustang(sorry again)and taken a bold step not a half step. when you start with a clean sheet of paper you it should be clean not editing the old version just to make changes. my2cents

i agree it is a good looking car, but looks more like a reskinned mazda or camaro than a vette. it even looks like a viper in a couple of pictures. when will they show the convertible?!?
