Here is another question for the C4 owners, particularly 93 and newer that have Passive keyless Entry. I finally recieved my PKE key fob from Eckler's. When I tried to program it, I never got the expected results from the drivers information center. When you turn the key to the on position or if you even just start the car, is the PKE light supposed to come on? It is in the lower left corner of the DIC. I checked and even replaced the fuse but I get no indicator light. I do not get the light during programing either. The Haynes book I have does not show a wiring diagram for the PKE.
Has anyone seen this?
Also, I replaced my stock sealed beam headlamps with the Hella headlamps from Eckler's. The lamps area great improvement but I have developed a problem. When I turn on the high beams the high beam indicator lights but does not go out when I turn off the high beams. ( it worked before I replaced the lamps ) If I turn off the headlights, it goes out and stays out till I turn on the highs again. Could I be drawing too much current throught either the switch in the column or the switch on the dash? An excessive current condition would keep the high beam indicator lit all the time, even before it is activated, wouldn't it?
Thanks !
