I came across this interesting article. They really stress the point of GM's way of introducing new vehicles. There's also a link to a shot from further away. I see a little retro C3 styling working. Similar use of retro styling they used on the new Camaro.

I can't see GM going backwards now from the new Ferrari design they are heading toward. Unless the have create a new affordable version of the Corvette.
I hate to say it but at the rate GM is pricing the Corvette unless you have a $100 K job you won't be driving one. The new ZR1 is a good example of that with the price starting out over $100 K.
I guess I will have to look and dream while holding on to my ol "remember when" vettes......

I hear ya Tux. I can't really even afford what I have. The only reason I am amongst the ranks of proud vette owners is having found them all dirt cheap.

I ditto that Tux. We are living the "phase out of the middle class". The cost of everything is rising but not our wages. To think the Chevrolet brand was supposed to be the every-mans car in GM's line-up.
If that's the newest Corvette concept, they can have it. I like the C3 style front fenders, but the huge scoops, etc. is a bit too much. Looks more like a movie car to me that would fit into a Corvette Summer remake.
I do agree that they are pricing the common folk out of the market.

The difference between men and boys is the cost of their toys!!
Interesting looking concept. All of us love the C3 style but if GM goes retro what about the C1 and C2's? It would be hard to retro style the Corvette after it has been through so many cool generations already. As for that Bumblebee it is pretty cool, I'd like to see it in blue. I know "Bumblebee" yellow and black, I get that but other colors would be cool also.

I'm not too worried about being priced out of the market. Whenever I get my second one (and it will be a curent gen car), I'll get one that's a few years old and has a few miles on it. I'll get a huge break on the depreciation, and I'll still get all the fun!

Yep! i am with you on that on John... I hate the new sticker hit...
Maybe they should go retro, a Vette is timeless each one tends to have it's own presonality. You don't see them designing a Ferrari to look like a Vette. I also agree that the high price of new Vettes is sad.
