This is the insurance guy in me, some one got either killed or seriously injured in this car. The driver footwell is crushed and the dash buckled. The column went thru someones chest. This was a very high speed crash or a head-on... IMHO, this should not be on ebay especially with the plates on it.
KeBo,
I was wondering the same thing. How fast was this guy going when he got side swiped?
And did they clean up the blood and guts?

This was not a side swipe. IMHO (professionally speaking) the driver of this car lost it and the back kicked out while he was driving right next to someone or something going in the opposite direction. I side swipe would not have collapsed the dash and put the column up. That was impact. My gut, the tail kicked and dragged the car into oncoming and he caught one right behind the front wheel on the driver side. If this happened this way this guy never hit the brakes and this was a probable fatal. It looks as if the steering column was cut off at the hub. If you noitice the frame is bent in at the drivers door and the drivers t-arm is buckled out. On a t-bone, that door is off. sight unseen, Id say my theory is dead on about the crash and the driver condition. The rate of speed had to have been high or if 2 cars going opposite directions are doing 45 and no one hit the brakes, thats 90 mph in the world of Physics 101.KeBo 2008-12-09 12:13:05

I'll bet we'll see this car(or at least the VIN from it) at Barrett-Jackson within a year or so...as a fully restored car...

That's probably true Joel but let's hope the bidder is familiar with the Latin term Caveat Emptor..."Let the buyer beware".
