what a trip this has been. said earlier this started over a $2 part.
used to be when you replaced a part it was done. granted that sometimes
it wasn't the part that was bad but at least you could say in the end
it's new so now i don't have to worry about it.
not anymore. replaced map sensor, tps, computer (twice and technically 4 times). still couldn't get it to read right voltage thru the map sensor. replaced vacuum lines, still wrong.
original computer from gm wasn't good as i found this out from installing a used computer off of ebay. got a replacement from gm and after changing vacuum lines installed that. no change in map sensor voltage but now coming up with est problem. scratch the head and figured did everything i could by following the directions now let me guess.
had the original map sensor so i reinstalled that. map voltage problem goes away but now that est problem there. had to run out for a bit and now thinking what to do. i figured i didn't have the est problem with the used computer so let me try that one again. install it and finally no codes are showing.
all goes to show computers can be fine but fixing them is a guessing game even with a scanner.
