well the 90 is running folks. map sensor voltage was high and installed
another new one. no change. i had the code for the oxygen sensor come
on for the running rich. after checking map sensor with a vacuum guage
and determined it was working, had a new oxygen sensor here so i
figured i replace it . while doing that i checked for voltage the way
the manual said to and no voltage. manual says replace ecm.
i already did with a rebuilt from gm but also bought a used one off of ebay. so last night i decided to swap it out and installed the used one. i couldn't believe it -- the map sensor is reading acceptable voltage (5.10 down to 3.8) and the tps went from 1'52 down to .62.
off i go now to gm and get a replacement ecm for a defective one. hard enough doing these computer controlled cars but when you get defective parts to boot it's enough to drive you insane.
