Peter Max was like a hippy-dippy Andy Warhol. Waaaay out there, in an acidy way. His posters and art work were really brightly colored, and would make you go blind if you stared at them too long...which most of us did...since we were usually stoned at the time....
I have(at least I did have) a Max poster of John Lennon that is just bright yellow, and bright red....it hurts the eyes to look at it. He also did some early 70's album art.

Seriously. That expression could hardly describe the nausea brought on by painting vettes in a Yellow Submarine theme

I like Patrick's (Digital Corvettes founder) to purchase the 53. restore it, and put it on display at NCM.
I would be willing to donate $100.00 towards the purchase on a shark body by C3Registry. It would be awesome to have a Registry car on display.
Now theres some food for thought if Adam would want to take up the torch.

I hate stories like this, just makes you want to go and slap some sense into someone, if the guy really wanted to make an impression he would get them to someplace that would preserve them in the way they should be,( like my place).

I really think it sucks as to what he's done with the vettes.
I think he should give them all to me and let me fix them up and paint them since I'm an Artist..........

I believe Peter Max did the art work for the Beatle's Yellow Submarine Album. For the time it was cool, but he needed to try different styles and progress/grow as an artist.

Actually, it looks like Peter Max's work, but it wasn't. Not only that, the Beatles' voices, other than when they were sing, weren't their own either.
How's that for busting a bubble!

I know the voices aren't real, but they have some pretty cool ideas...
Sadly Peter Max is one of those types that always say someday I'm going to...His actions already show his lack of or should I say disrespect for an classic car. So when and if the cars are sold judging by the condition(wrecked 74,75,and other damage)wow the cost to repair them.I agree with what was said about theNCM they should get the cars so to presevre them.
Rick
I had the opportunity to see these poor Vettes up close and personal a few years back
Very sad.
Now they are in a different location, but still wasting away.
At a minimum of $10K per car, it will be over $350K just to make them presentable.
I don't believe they are going anywhere soon.
