Has to be aftermarket setup for racing. The doors did have the lip on top but opened straight out like the C-3. These look like some kind of lambeau kit or something.
Also, the door went all the way down, not the door sill you see in this pic.
Still, if the price is right and the steering wheel is left
, it might be a good deal.

Vette(s): 1972 conv., sunfire yellow, blk interior, blk vinyl and convertible top. Off frame restoration with American Speed 383 stroker engine producing 500hp plus a 200hp NOS system. MSD ignition. Hooker super competition headers with chambered exhaust.
I agree with dnv that it appears to be some type of kit. There's nothing on the body that looks original. (doors, flared fenders, hood, etc)
Now if you're looking for another toy that will probably blow the doors off your truck, go for it if the price is right. I don't think it would ever win any NCRS awards or be an investment as for monetary returns but the fun you would have with it would be priceless.

Norbert,
Jim and dnv are correct. Definitely aftermarket door kit, The flares are probably bonded to Vette quarter panels. The hood and front clip look okay except fot the grill mounted headlights. If the price is right, go for it. It will be a lot of fun.

It looks to be a replica car. My guess it is better, faster, funner, he,he,he... than a o-riginal 63. Different animal, different value.
If it fits your fancy and matches your wallet it would be a sweet thing to have in the garage and extra fine to wind out on the road!Tuxblacray 2007-11-06 20:23:43

Dunno...looks like it could be a car someone simply modified. The flares are definitely hand laid/made, as are the doors. Kinda a Mercedes Gull-Wing look on the doors.
What engine/trans?
From the pics, it does look like a neat car...need more info...and PICS!

thanx so far for the toughts
Was also my first idea.. a replica car....but then again, who should make a replica C2 , even if on a original chassis , if there are originals for sale ????
Can't hardly believe....think it's a aftermarket rebuild ... ex racer ????
I go see within a few hours....
Engine is a 350 with 2 carbs ???? ( so surely not original ) , trans is automatic....??? So if we decide to buy it we count the price in for a conversion to a 5 speed manual.....
Think i have seen such sets on the internet for about 5.000 $ ???
I have my Black Book at hand for the chassis # , very curious....

My god,my god... just back from the trip ....This is one big piece of junk....
It's a C4 '84 !!! with a C2 '63 body on...
and to finish the touch completely screwed up with the "amateur" lambo doors...

Ok , the trip was only 90 miles and i was so curious...

Best explanation from vendor was that it is still 2 years to be old enough for a oldtimer registration in Belgium ( on paper it's a '84... ) so time enough for the restoration.....

HE BETTER STARTS TODAY !

Ok , this was a little suspens, wasn't it ?
