Vette(s): 1970 T-Top350/350hp numbers matching 4 speed. It's a mess and 1970 Convertible 4 speed.
On the way to the Barrett Jackson auction with Aceinthehole last week we saw a C2 convertible with a 20 ft steel pole laying across it. It was located at another auction they had a big storm that caused 1 mil worth of damage. There were about 30 cars that lost there tent and probably experience there first rain in in years.

That really was nauseating. We had just come up the on ramp of a slightly elavated freeway and just to the right was the devastation. Nevada HP gaurded the area to keep the looky loo's to a minimum but we had a front row seat for the time it took to pass by. I sure hope the owners of those cars were fairly compensated. I thought I saw at least 4 cars with huge tent poles creasing the roof. Very sad.

I read an article about the storm and how a Tucker had been spared significant damage. It had been damaged but not so much that the previous restorer could'nt repair it.Tuxblacray2010-01-27 13:31:50

Vette saughter!  That's really sad for sure!  My son is going to college to become a mechanic and he was telling me about a '90 vette there at the school.  A Dealer donated the car and they are going to tear out the engine and tranny (he's excited about that).  The school has to crush the car when they are through with it.  My son said that this '90 vette had barely been out on the road and underneath was still new looking.  Stickers were still on the car and the only mileage on it was from moving it in and out of a garage.  Now that is vette murder!ShockedShockedAngry  I told him that and he started laughing........oh that's bad!Shocked
