The dealership received our first two C6's on tuesday. All I can say is WOW. I was the first one in the black 6 speed and words can't describe it. Hats off to the General on these
. I was able to take it for a "spin" around the block and again WOW
. Very quiet. VERY fast. My only knock would be on the touch screen radio. Its diff. to navigate the controls and the display was not crisp.
Suprisingly
both of them sold yesterday(one the the owner of CORSA and the other to a friend of the dealer) or some of the local guys could have stopped by and taken a look without the aid of a giant crane.
3 more due in the next 2-3 weeks. 2 black and 1 Daytona Sunset Orange.

I saw a Silver Vert a while back, Vin X car, was allowed to sit in it and peer under the hood etc...loved it. I am really curious what your impressions of the Daytona Sunset Orange are...seems really odd..

I'm guessing it'll be down by the weekend. I used to work for the owner back in the day before I got into appraising real estate and he always has a huge Corvette inventory, so I'm hoping there will be a few to check out when I take a cruise over there. This guy always pulls some sort of stunt when the new Vettes come out. The problem is that he does this type of thing to get people in, and when they get there the asking prices are always way above MSRP. I worked for him during the '97-'98 model year and a black '97 rolled out at $14,000 over window.

Anything, but Stock and more mods to come!
SSBC Force 10 Brakes, 3.73, TH350, 355 CID, Rack and Pinion, Vette Brakes suspension front and rear.
I know its a Vette and I'm happy that the Tradition still lives today, but I don't like the looks of the new C6.
Sorry its too much of a mix between a viper, ferrari and a Infinity G35, IMOO!
I would rather own a 95 or 96 C4.
I've been behind the wheel of a C5 and no doubt it out performs any of the other earlier corvettes, but I don't get the feeling I get when behind the wheel of my C3.
Anyone feel the same.

I do.

Personally, I think the C5 is more like a C3 than the C4 is. But still lacking. However, it is a great car to drive. I still prefer a C3.
I got to play with one last Labor Day Weekend. That is everything but drive it

I hate to disagree (ok, ok I really love it..)
but I think the c2 is the best (meanest) looking...
Id sell a kidney to get a 67 L-88.. and the 57 fuelie has to be the classiest looking of all the C1.5's.
my ranking would be
1 C2 63-67 67 is fav
2 C1.5 56-62 57 is fav
3 C3 68-72 69 is fav
4 C1 53-55 55 is fav
5 C3.5 73-82 73 is fav
6 C5 97-04 no fav
7 C6 05-? (this should be C5.5, or C5 with ricer headlights)
8 C4 84-96 96 is fav
