Vette(s): 1972 small block coupe
I'm sure many of you have seen the supposed C6 on the cover of Road & Track. Actually, it was merely a composite of what the magazine staff believed the C6 will look like, when it's introduced by Chevy in 2005. Certainly, we'll know what it will look like by 2004. In my opinion, Chevrolet hasn't introduced a visually exciting Vette model since 1968. The two milestones of Corvette styling in new models I believe, only occurred in 1963 with the intro of the stunning original Sting Ray, and then the intro of the emotionally-evocative 1968 model. All others pale by comparison, in terms of their ability to excite Vette enthusiasts with their looks . The C4? Boring. The C5? Too timid, not bold enough. The C6 will probably be a slave to aerodynamics---which makes most cars look somewhat alike, these days, even the so-called "supercars." . What Chevy should do, is go retro with a new rendition of the C3---exciting, sensuous and sexy lines, cleaned up with some aero devices. How great would that be? Look at what Ford's doing with the "new" GT40. I'm a Chevy fan, but, man! That car is stunning. Just think how great a "new" C3 would be, but lightened to about 2500 lbs, with a small-block jacked up to 550 horses!

Vette(s): 1979 Black coupe. 11256 original, documented, miles on it when I bought it in April of 2000. It now has 13100 on it. Oyster interior, like new. Everything original, everything works, except the clock. Paint has a couple of minor flaws.

While they were at it, they could put better brake system on it too. Also a better A/C unit would be helpful. My vette makes me sweat a lot. |laugh|

There is no way I should be overweight while driving that vette. I should sweat off all extra pounds... |laugh| |thumb|
