Vette(s): Silver 1974 Convertible - L82 4 speed Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses. 2008 Jetstream Blue Convertible
Jalopnik claims that they have seen the new C7.  They don't have pictures, but they do have "renderings" of what they saw.

What do you think?

Vette(s): 1980 L-48 still in the middle of a frame-off.
The exclusive images you see here, derived from hours spent secretly poring over the sheetmetal of two seventh-generation Corvettes,

Just reading the first sentence alone, tells me that I should take this with a grain of salt, and a big one at that.  That "rendering" is vastly different from the split window curves and wedges model shown in the last year.

Corvettes and women are the same...You want to make love to them but they keep breaking down.

Other than being harder edged, and the Camaro tailights, I don't see that much difference...not enough to warrant a new "C" designation....it looks to me to be just an update of the C6...not a new design.
I don't like it, anyway....Thumbs Down

Joel I have to agree, and I was thinking the same thing about the tail lights lookin to be camaroish Confused Why? maybe add a Vega stering wheel?
I did see a drawing / picture of a vette with C3 chrome bumpers front and back that may have been the split window also? But it was a retro Shark body for sure, and it was cool!

That one above does not look like a "New Generation" at all.

Juat saw the press conference announcing the 2012 Corvette Daytona Prototype.  Looks very similar and it is probably not a coincidence.

I had heard in the last few days a definitive "No" to a split window for the C7.

I won't be able to afford one anyway, so it's a moot point. None of these "renderings" I've ever seen look like the actual model, so we'll just wait and see. Although I don't like the taillights, either.
