While I do not (repeat not) advise anyone to buy any Corvette as an investment I have to pass this short list on...
In the new issue of Vette Magazine Mike Yeager listed his TOP
investment choice for appreciation over the net ten years....
Have to say I'm pretty happy....and figure a bunch of us C3 owners should be also.
64.....(and I own one)
68 ...Convertible 427
70-72 ... Especially the convertibles ...(I own a 72 vert)
74 ...454 Convertible
78-82 Low milage cars... (I own a 79 but not a real low millage one)
Funny but in addition to my 64 and 72 plus a mid milage 79 I also own a 98 Convertible and a 4 speed 76 coupe...
Its funny because of all my cars I have stated many times that IF I had to have only one it would be the 76 .. The 76 is just my favorite overall ...last to be labeled a Stingray and a ball to drive....But it did not make the list....Oh well Its stilll my favorite...

But then again he has the Corvette from Death Race 2000 documented as priceless in his museum and I don't know if you guyz ever saw the movie or not but thats not the car from Death Race 2000..

I agree though , All Sharks are going to start appreciating more. It is the most recognized Corvette ever made

A well plotted and maintained portfolio will/should exhibit a doubling of it's invested monies every 7 years.
That being true, my 7 thousand dollor (investment) in my Corvette should net me 112,000 dollars in 28 years.............yeah right !!!!
My Son is an Edward Jones Investment Rep. and he advised me to buy the Vette for fun and games and, if I have any money left over let him help me get a true Investment from it.......which I have...(and he's correct WOW)

He is 31 yrs old and on track to retire at 50 and pick up his new Vette at the factory. I hope i'm still around to go with him to get it....I'll be 84 then....hmmmm

[QUOTE=Ron 78]I think my 78 is low mileage,it's got 78k,thats only 2600 a year

Ron you bring up a good point....That got me thinking. (dangerous )
What do you guys call a low millage car ...?
I stated in my original post that my 79 was NOT a low millage car but its 29 years old with 108,000 on the clock = 3,700 miles /year
NOT LOW Millage but at 3,700 miles a year it sure has not spent a lot of time on the road...
Just curious
