I'm not so sure wearing a seat belt would have saved this guy's life in this case, but it may have.

It makes you watch an ad first, then it should automatically go to the story.

That's better!Thumbs%20Up  WOW, I think you are right.  Seat belts may not have helped this guy.  Thanks for sharing, Adam.

We'll never no if wearing a seat belt would of help this guy.   We do know to wear one at all times.  THE LAW!!!   Anything is possible!

Besides, the trucker if not his fault could sue the person that hit him for injuries.   Go figure...  Nuke

Flying through the windsheild is what was most likely the cause of most of the injury to the Corvette driver, and I believe the seatbelt would have helped him and the airbag also. What amazes me is all the damage to the semi.

I got a feeling if he was wearing a seatbelt and lived through it, he may have wished he hadn't.

I am amazed at what little damage was done to the vette. This is the 2nd new vette that I have seen and all that is left is the main cage under extremme conditions.

The other was a fellow in FLORIDA who lost control at speeds in excess of 140 and ran it through a car dealership. He wiped out a whole row of new cars in addition to the vette.

Amazingly he walked away from the wreck with only cuts and bruises. Maybe it was the seat belt???

Hats off to GM for a good design!Tuxblacray2008-05-07 19:03:50
