Vette(s): Silver '81 mostly original C3. Silver interior, bilstiens, big sway bars, headers.
I have NEVER seen one of these before didn't even know they existed ! Found at Day 1 of Americarna, owner "John" tells me he bought the C5 new in the States, and with just 10km's on the clock took it to a place where they do this professional retro conversion !

Unbelievable, but a stunner !!

Vette(s): 71 Colonnade Hardtop Coupe Torch Red with black interior originally L48 built to push around 360hp

A guy down the street from me has one of these. If I remember right he sent it to Jackson, MI and had it done for 40k. It is a head turner but I'm really not that crazy about it. Now if you we're to take a C5 and turn it into a C3 you might have something.Thumbs%20Up

Vette(s): 1969 convertible L71 427/435 4-speed black interior
I saw two similar cars at Corvettes at Carlisle in '06.  They were pretty sharp looking.  One was a convertible and one was done in the original "Corvair" fastback style from the GM Motorama shows.

I remember the first one I saw, it was a head turner. I have seen several since.
I think a C3 on a C5 or C6 chasis would be the car to have .
Maybe one day Chevrolet will do a retro Vette

Vette(s): Gone, but not forgotten: 1974 Coupe Red, matching numbers, Black Interior, L-48 w/ 4 speed; The “Admiral”, also gone and never to be forgotten. 1994 Admiral Blue LT-1 coupe, Black Interior Automatic
It needs a retro-interior also. I really don't like the interior. Disapprove Front end is looks great. Some people have way too much disposable income. Wits%20End

There is no substitute for low end torque!

My .02, but for what he has in this conversion (maybe less), he could have purchased a genuine '53.

I've seen a '62 conversion, as well as this one.

I agree that a '68 or '69 conversion would be pretty cool!

Vette(s): Previous: 1984 Silver / Charcoal Coupe, 1988 Maroon Coupe / 1989 Artic White Coupe / 2001 Speedway White Roadster / Present:1976 Stingray Black / Black, Auto, 350 slightly modified (355 hp) Luxor Wires Redline Tires. / 1989 Roadster Bright Red...
I have seen several and I like them! If I ever get the chance I will own one. For me the VetteRod is the best of both worlds.

As far as the money goes, I believe it's yours buy what you want while you can. 100 years from now nobody will ever know.....

Vette(s): 2004 Commemorative Edition Coupe, Auto w/HUD. 13K miles in 2015. Sold 1982 Red Coupe
First one I saw was at Corvettes at Carlisle in Aug. 2005. It was a 50th anniversary special.

Best of both worlds; '53 style with modern engine, drivetrain, suspension, brakes, comfort, etc.

But way too much money for me.
