sometimes the start of a week can really get you. i had to replace the
ehaust on the 90. ordered the parts and as usual had the ants in the
pants waiting for it to come in. last monday, i get one part , the rear
y-pipe so as usual i can't do anything. tuesday, i get home from work
and it's all there but now it started to rain. rained everyday until
friday morning.
friday nights there is a club who meets at the local burger king with our cars. no problem here, i'll take the 75. move the other cars out of the way, start the 75 and let it warm up and back her out of the garage. shut it off and went inside and did a few last minute details and tell the wife, "i'll be back". go outside and jump in and go to start it and zilch. all it does is crank.
hmmm.. is the choke stuck, did the float stick open, etc. get out pop the air filter, choke is open, getting gas, and check for spark. no spark---
.
go inside and tell wife and ran down in the escalade. sat morning, i go out and rip distributor apart. i had a brand new 75 distributor in garage so i took the module out of that along with the cap, rotor, and coil and install. turn key and it starts right up
.
now i can finally get to the exhaust on the 90. i figure while the 75 is out of the garage , i might as well use the lift so i get the 90 in and up. this is great, should go pretty quick (did i say that). getting the nuts off was a real PIA. no matter how i tried to get to them (3 on each flange), the back one was the worst. finally get it off. i figured the worst part was done (did i say that). i think getting the new one bolted in was even worse than removing the old one but finally got it in. got everything in place and this morning only thing left to do to the exhaust is tighten everything up. while it is there will change the oil and hopefully all the problems with the 90 will be history.

Murphy's law is always lurking somewhere in the corner of my garage,Ain't nothin gonna go the way it should

.Always be prepared for the worst,if Murphy doesn't show his ugly head, and if Bubba aint visited your vehicle ,things might go semi-smooth ,I always plan on twice the time to do anything,if it takes less time ,it's a plus
