The Stafford, NY Volunteer Fire Dept. holds a raffle every year to raise money for new equipment, etc. This year first prize is a completely restored 1966 Tuxedo Black Corvette Coupe with a matching numbers 427/390, 4 speed trans, red leather interior, A/C, PS, PB, Pwr antenna, side exhaust, knock off wheels, and more. If you don't want it (who wouldn't?) you can have $50,000 cash instead. There are some other prizes too. The drawing is on Fathers Day 2006. Tickets are $10 for a book of 15 tickets. Go to www.staffordvfd.org for pics and more details. (This year they raffled off a '57 Corvette coupe.)

Wow thats an awsome prize there   15 tickets for $10, I think i'm gonna have to get in on this even if I would have to go clear across the country to pick her up.

Heres the Vette in mention, but please still go to the website and check it out

I'm sure you could arrange to have it shipped for a couple of thousand bucks. An old Corvette is not the best vehicle to make a cross country trip in, plus leaving it in hotel parking lots for several nights is asking for trouble......

did you catch the must be post marked date of "june 2005" we've passed that date. I figure it must be a typo, cause the cars headline reads 2006 carnival.

I tried to send a note thru the contact us/car address, wouldn't work

On the flier they mailed me it says June 1, 2006. It's a legit raffle. They have been doing this every year for at least 10 years.....

Thanks for this posting!!! There will definately be tickets in the mail to this house! Although, I am partial to the Marina Blue with white top, interior, and stinger for this year I do think this would be a good garage companion for the current black tunnelback.

You're welcome. Black isn't my first color choice either, but as long as it has a 4 speed I could be very happy with it for a long time.....
