This morning at 12:01AM the NCM put the new 2005 Z06 on their site. See it at Z06

It's no C3. And apparently it only comes in yellow.|eek|
But those 500 horses have got to be awesome!

Looks kind of wicked, doesn't look at all like a vette though. It took me a while to get used to a C-4 too.
I'm glad to see the return of a big block in a vette too! |bouncy|

Not really a big block, but instead a stroker LS2 with nicer heads and intake and cam. But LS2's are awsome all aluminum blocks also. It is cool they chose the 427 cid though. This thing is said to do a 0-60 in less than 4 seconds! and be faster than 12sec in the quarter mile! Its illegal to drag in its stock form! (lol) I am glad the vette can now take on a viper in all aspects of racing and still be alot cheaper!

I like the fact that Chevy has doen a little more to set the Z06 apart (more than a fender badge) from the base Corvette.

I remember when the C4 ZR1's had a rounded tail. Unfortunately Chevy added this design to later base models and took that distinction from the ZR1.

Like the big blocks of old, the hood and c.i. numbers on the side let you know what you have pulled next to.

I would have liked to have seen a hood more reminiscent of the mid year's 427 "Stinger" hood or the C3's BB hood. Also, I think the scoop would look better moulded into the hood, not the nose.

Lastly, I hate that Chevy caved and went with the exposed HID headlights, it's to "Viperish."

Anthony
