This is a $2000.00 aftermarket option. This car has a bunch of aftermarket options. That is why it is priced up. The paint, seats, door pulls, console cover, C5 Z06 rims, carbon fiber FRC's,Borla exhaust, tailight covers, script inlays, smooth coupler, to name a few. I know I missed some and I anticipate there are some unseen mods.
With 91K on the clock I would expect it to run well because it wasn't setting around idle.
Now Mr. Larry.... from 1 Larry to another.... The Plan...
Surely by now you must know that in order to receive you must 1st give. (and just behaving doesn't count) You need to adopt a scorecard system. Let your sweetie have whatever she wants when she wants it. Keep score though as the points are redeemable. At some point you are allowed to cash in. Me I save back my pointss for the must have items. (like our C5)
Of course two other tricks help out.... tell her it is her car and allow her to drive it occasionally. This will still provide you with joint driving / owning ability.
Last and most deadly secret weapon..... Tell her I LOVE YOU OFTEN...... ! This one has the most profound and awarding effect.... I have been known to utilize this one at random moments for surprise benefits that give great pleasure.
Good Luck with my tried and true advice.......
where the headlights modified?

I totally agree with John...If this is "the car" for you, then the price seems fair considering the upgrades. I also agree that there are plenty of C5s out there with less miles and they are cheaper. If I knew the maintenance history of the car, and it was good, the 91K miles would not scare me.

How about you buy it for her birthday and tell her it comes with a chauffeur to drive her around. Then get in that shark outfit with a chauffeur's cap on so she doesn't know who it is. Then drive her around.

Well here we go! I have never seen such a total lack of testosterone!!
Have you lost your gonads,Larry? You asked for help-here it is:when I was looking to buy a C5 the wife had no idea what I was about to do.
The only reason I told her was because I could not make up my mind between the Torch Red and the extra $500 for the Mag Red. She asked me if I was serious-I said "yes"-I was buying myself a retirement present and I wanted it paid off before I retired. All she said was "you want the Mag Red". That was the end of it and I went and finalized the deal. After the car came in and all the paperwork was done we left the dealership. A week later the wife said to me that she would buy the Vette for me as a retirement present and take over the payments (minus what I had put down on the car). I never made one payment. So if you want the darn thing go and BUY IT

Hate to be the one but there is always at least one....so, got my vette in july divorced in august...lol

I have used both tacts. The previous is better than the latter. It shows a little more consideration(sorry Butch). I am the king at my house but I still don't spend thousands without some communication. I just put almost 30K into a kitchen remodel for her and mentioned my brother found a motorcycle I have been wanting. She jut said "If you want it, buy it".
