Karen, although the car does look nice, theres a lot more to consider here.  Everyone has brought up some good points.  How far is Junction City from you?  I wouldn't even consider a Bid on this car without seeing and driving it in person.

Sold my 95 Black on Black 6 speed car for 13000 2 years ago...with 70,000
miles on the clock..Car was great BUT after 6 years I jsut began to hate the color or should I say the amount of work it took to keep it clean...

Neighbor is a GM factory Rep... (not Chevy however)..104,000 miles means it still has at least 50,000 trouble free miles left in it or more.. Designed for 300,000 miles before it needs rebuilding..

My 95 never gave me a bit of trouble..just grew tired of the freakin work
it took to keep it clean..

The milage would not scare e at all... interior condition and weather seals
would be my concern...does owner have service records?

Karen, I would "honestly" look for a C5 from TX, CA, NM, GA, OK,  or FL.  Maybe take a look around in your area at a Dealer at the end of the month.  Usually, they will go down in price then trying to get their "quota" of sales by the end of the month.  Go to a Dealer that's not a big Corporation and they will "wheel & deal" with you better than a larger Corp..  Plus, you will get a warranty with the car.  A C5 cruizes better than the C4 and they are easier to get out of.  From one lady Vette lover to another........WinkWink Big%20smile

Hey Karen take a look at this car...

C5 FOR SALE

Mind you I am not endorsing the purchase of a flood damaged car but.... sure wouldn't stop me from looking, driving, considering it. Alot would depend on the history, definition of "flood damaged", talks with the previous owner, etc.

Bottom line is it is a nice looking C5 for El Cheapo dollarz.... It also leaves some good bartering room on the price.Just another thought....

Interesting....I got the Carfax report.  Looks like it was originally registered as a "lease vehicle" .  In Sept of '03, it was "inspected after an accident or other incident.  Flood damage reported."  Wish they'd be a little more specific....  It had only about 7,400 miles at the time of the "incident".  Looks like it just changed hand to this dealership.  Don't dealerships run Carfax reports on trade-ins before they take them?  What about the gnarly looking brake disc?  Is that normal wear or rust?  It also doesn't mention if the car smells.....  I think I'll ask them some questions.

By the way, I ran a Carfax on this C4, too.  It appears there have been 4 owners.  The seller on eBay says she bought it from the original owner...Maybe she just didn't know, but doesn't everyone get a Carfax or similar report before buying a used car these days?????  It's saved our butts a couple of times!!!!  When we were looking for the Hawg (older model Suburban) we discovered one where the odometer had turned over twice and the owner only knew about one (or so he said)!
The carpet in the rear area seems to be un-glued from the storage doors...and the driver side storage door doesn't seem to have any way to open it...perhaps the carpet is completely loose, and they just flopped it in there willy-nilly for the pics? Not a big issue, but it's just noticeable...
Hi Joel,

the carpet in the rear of the C4 is not glued to the panels but rather held down on the leading edge with a velcro type fastener. The driver's side does not have a storage compartment thus no door or latch. Mostly ABS stuff in there.

Good girl run those reports & learn what you can. If you can get the previous owners name call them. Ask all the questions you can think of. You have nothing to lose.

Dealerships may not run the reports depending on who they are & what they are trading for. Sounds like this one didn't until it was requested and they found out the information at that time.

Those brake rotors will rust depending on where the car is and how long it has sat, the age and the make of the rotors. Mine develop some rusting over the winter. (but not that bad)

Where is the car located? It doesn't say in the add.....
