Piegon Forge has a lot of cool and fast gokart tracks. Also the drive up and into cades cove is a must.Absloutly breath taking!!!!.you can't explain it you just have to go and see it.

The Pigeon Forge Chamber of Commerce calendar shows something nearly every weekend.
I hope we have time in our schedule to visit Dollywood and I hope we get a clear day to drive the Great Smokey Mountain Park roads.
I still haven't voted yet, but I'm leaning toward early June.
When do the kids get out of school in TN? And don't tell me 3 PM.

I voted for september, simply because if I do make the trip my vacation time is rebooted in late August.
Alright. This is going to be a pretty darn good gathering guys. Pigeon
Forge is not too far away from me. About a couple of hours is all. If
we do this early in the year we can catch the Tennessee Smokies AA
baseball team in action. They have a great facility and watching a game
there is
. Also, not too far away is the Tail Of The Dragon and the Cherahola Skyway.
The Dragon is a favorite cruise road of motorcycles. Lots of turns,
enough so that you can almost pass yourself. The Cherohala Skyway is a
great ride for anyone. It is a new road that is wide and has plenty of
pull off sections to enjoy the views. There is a point where you are
over 1 mile high looking out over the mountains. Very nice. I have made
the loop before starting and ending at my house, and it was 200 miles
or so. But starting from PF it should be a lot shorter ride and well
worth it. There are plenty of attractions in PF plus plenty of great
scenery and roads to explore. Great choice.

2 cruzn,
Pidgeon Forge is probably closer to Virginia than Nashville, so don't count on your nephew for much at Opryland.... unless you REALLY love to drive!!!
There are some great twisty cruzin' roads in and around the Smokies though. We are driving from Nashville and it is a 4-5 hr drive...

I have to be honest with you guys, and perhaps I should have mentioned this before...there is no way this event can happen the first two weekends in June. The first weekend contains my wedding anniversary and if I'm not home for that, I may as well never come home. The 2nd weekend is the weekend I host Corvettes for a Cure.
