Vette(s): 1978 Silver Anniversary Edition

Wife and I went through PF and Gatlinburg last Sept on vacation. They had a major show going on in PF and the place was a zoo. The particapants and spectators were very respectful and getting around was not bad at all. A day at Dollyworld and gatlinburg would be a great side trip. Gatlinburg has some of the biggest car shows in that part of the country. It will be a lot of fun whenever we decide to go. Maybe we could get a local guide to lead us around might be their first time to ride in a Vette. I voted for Aug because of vacation schedule, but I can change hopefully. Just a thought.

One question.
Would it be better for us to have our meeting during the middle of the week so we don't conflict with a weekend event?
It's a 12 to 13 hour drive for me, so I will need to burn 3-4 vacation days anyway.
2 cruzn,

Pidgeon Forge is probably closer to Virginia than Nashville, so don't count on your nephew for much at Opryland.... unless you REALLY love to drive!!!

Vette(s): 1979, 350sb, as my kids affectionately call it "shit brown" Corvette purchased in 1996. 84,000+ miles. Not a show car, but I love her just the same.

Sorry all, but I had to place my vote for June.  Everyone who voted for August must have great A/C in their cars because it will be damn hot that time of year in Tennessee.

Now, unless I'm staying on a house boat somewhere around the KY/TN area, August weather is just not my cup-of-tea.  It gets warm enough here in Michigan...and you guys want me to travel further south?!  Hell, if I'm gonna endure heat like that you all should have voted for Vegas!

I would prefer April or May, but I gotta vote for June. July and August are too hot for me.
I have to be honest with you guys, and perhaps I should have mentioned this before...there is no way this event can happen the first two weekends in June.  The first weekend contains my wedding anniversary and if I'm not home for that, I may as well never come home.  The 2nd weekend is the weekend I host Corvettes for a Cure.
Adam, I can't think of a better wedding anniversary present for your sweet bride, a vacation in Tennessee in early June.

I can sympathize with you Adam... my first aniv is 6/18 and I don't think mama will consider that a anniversary gift or be as excited about driving 10 hoursConfused with the top down and hair blowing in the breeze...as i always am... ahhh gotta love itLOL... but i will wait for the results of the survey and then "BEG:" if I have to... maybe even some concessions later in the yearWink.. whatever is needed... maybe .. just maybe she will  "want" to go too... Clapwho knows.. only be married a year then...
