...Hell, if I'm gonna endure heat like that you all should have voted for Vegas!
Got a big kick out of that statement - thanks.   I have no dog in this fight as I won't be there, but at least Vegas has perfect Corvette weather all year round except maybe for 1-2 damn hot months in summer.

Buts it's "dry heat" ... yeah, right.

So all you gents with anniversaries during summers back east must have got married then because it was too hot and humid to be doing other things besides appeasing your sex drives while on honeymoons to cooler places?    Ooops.

Sorry for getting off topic folks.   Wish I could make the party but will have to wait to see if one is ever held much closer.

I voted for September, however, April or May would probably make more sense as the weather would be cooler and the middle/end of a week might be best (Wed-Fri).  The Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area can be a total zoo on weekends.  The first time we went there, we arrived on a Friday afternoon and it took us 2 hours to go about 5 miles!  proracr38723.7793518519

Pro...

Sounds like us Tennesseans have a better inside track on the Pidgeon Forge /Gatlinburg tourist traps than most. The area is indeed a kiddie zoo in the summer.....

I voted for June because I prefer that over August, but if it ends up being the end of June when it may be hot and crowded, I won't want to be there on the weekend.
For you TN locals, what will it be like on Wednesday June 28, 2006?
Paint me a picture.

Picture thousands of redneck children with cotton candy sticky fingers pouring all over your ustabe clean 'Vette. Be sure to add the little sugary fingerprints dried and caked on all the glass, doors and fenders.....

Got the picture????

I voted for June, early I hope, before kids are out of school. Temps aren't real bad and the days are nice and long.

I've also been looking at the motel/hotel.  But the prices are just around the same for renting a cottage.  If that is.  We might just rent a cottage and see if anyone else would like to join in the rent.   Right now just looking and will see what month and final dates this gathering will be.
