I am retired, have the time, (and the money) but honestly there is no way I am going to hop on a plane and fly to the West Coast...I would rather invest in a few sets of brake pads, tires, etc and take my wife out to dinner (which I do 3-4 times a weeik anyway)...
I have the feeling that the West Coast guys and gals feel the same
way...
Now IF I had the chance to drive 3-4 hundred miles and attend a regional meeting I would be very interested...
I went to Hershey a few years ago and absolutely had a blast..rain and all...meeting in the parking lot under the Hotels covered parking area drinking a fw beers eating a few Hot Dogs, Hamburgers and talking to a bunch of Corvette owners way into the middle of the night was fun, interesting, and extremely enjoyable..
To tell you guys the truth...
I wish "we" could arrange a Saturday night "get together" in every single State at least once a year...

my vote goes for branson, once you get out of town the roads are great
for spirited driving, and the wives could shop till they drop and leave
us alone for guy things

We have had some great discussion on where the event might be. I hope that mybe Adam an a few of the moderators can develop a good dame plane from this.
Not all may be able to attend based on their decision. I do think that time is important to some who may have to schedule accordingly.
Myself I will take the wait and see attitude once the dust settles. (Not on my rims I hope

I lived in SAN DIEGO for 16 years (1982-1998) and that's a great place to have it. There's the best zoo in the country, if not the world, the huge Wild Animal Park, Sea World, Padres baseball games in a great new stadium, a visit to nearby Tijuana, Mexico (park at the border and WALK across), the beaches, a drive along the coast, and a lot more, including three different Indian reservations with state of the art casino gambling of all kinds. There are lots of nice hotels downtown, in Mission Valley, on Harbor Island, on Shelter Island, on Coronado Island, and in La Jolla (la hoya). It may be down in the lower left corner of the country but it's definitely worth the drive....

There is a great Vette show in June 9, 10, 11, 2006 in Branson that would be a great tie in!. The weather is great that time of year!
This will be their 5th. annual show. They are expecting 300 cars this year.
My wife and I have been the last 2 years and always have a great time. Check it out @ www.carsplusclassics.com
There is so much to do there! Everyone would have a great time!
