JD, I like the trailer idea.I had not really ever thought about pulling my vette anyplace. That would work out great. I have a friend that has an inclosed trailer. I used it a while back to haul a 60 vette home from Columbus Ohio. (An EBAY car.) So I know the thing is vette worthy. Thanks for planting a seed, this should give me more planning options to make when the decision is made on where the event will be held.

Missouri is a place we would be able to travel to. I like the idea of it being kind of centrally located. Just my .02 cents

PSSST!  How about beatiful SONOMA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA ?  It's only an HOUR FROM EVERYTHING-  the Coast, the City(San Francisco), Wine Country(Napa), the  Mountains, & the Lakes!  I believe Jack London referred to it as "the most beatiful place on earth".  In addition- the weather can't be beat!

The two of us don't mind where this is.  The worse problem is the MONTH of this event!

May through September are the only months we are going to have time for this.

We'll wait until everyone places a vote for the dates.

All the suggestions are good. I still support the central location. We will not be able to please all the members all the time. Attending will be an individual choice. Since we like to travel, anywhere is possibly ok. If i had to vote today, I would go for St. Louis because that is where my car was madeand there are a lot of intresting things to see and do there. Think of the possibilities - a bunch of C3's under the Arch. What a picture that would make. Caravaning is a great idea no matter where you go.

I need some good advanced notice to get the time off for a big event like this.  In January we pick our vacation schedule for the entire year.

If this is going to be a long distance trip, I want it to be the kinda trip/place you'll remember and talk about for a long long time

Oh ya, I forgot the link to the LeMay Automotive collection in Tacoma. This collection of everything automotive is amazing, check it out. http://www.lemaymuseum.org/

I like the idea of a middle location connected with an event "Corvette".  What about another idea to consider.  Split the US into three buckets, East, West, and Middle and rotate the event through the regions over three years.  It does not preclude anyone from attending but where the distance or trailering are not an option there would be a closer option to consider in following years. It would give people more time to plan for their family vacations and logistics if they need to be considered. Clap

St. Louis is great place visit, been there before and love the Cards!

But it was just voted the third most dangerous City in the US. Not a place I would want to take my Vette.

I still vote for Branson, MO!

Vette(s): had a really nice one. sold it to a good friend. Purchased 2004 custom coupe in Feb. 2009 did not tell anyone here until August 2009. BAD I KNOW.
I think we all quit our jobs and just travel around the country with card board signs for gas and food, that way see see everthing everyday.
