Vette(s): Used to own a 1979 Corvette now owned by JB79
So it has been decided via Member Vote that the 2008 C3VR Member Gathering will be in Hot Springs, Arkansas!
The next issue is the date. I don't really want to put this up for vote, cause it just takes too long. So I'm just going to ask for general opinion.
The two choices are April 17-19, 2008 or May 1-3, 2008.
The major difference being that during the April 17-19 time frame there will be a local Corvette show happening that draws about 400 Vettes. They have quite a schedule of events that we could hitch on to.
The May 1-3 time frame has no major event at that time, so we'd have to come up with our own complete agenda.
Thoughts?
I'll give it a few days to get some thoughts, then make a decision on the date. I know you folks like to get things nailed down quick, so let's do it quick.
Thanks!

Vette(s): My 1974 Vette sold last August 2014. I am still willing to show up to events and local gatherings if anything happening No new vette yet.
April sounds like a good idea though i know i wouldnt be able to get those days off from work. May is better for me to schedule it off. April being a busier month.

i think linking us to the car show might be a cool idea. set up a C3VR stand and try to get more members into the site. plus having 100 or so members with their C3VR cars there might influence them a little bit more than just talking to someone and seeing a flyer.
We could always make our own agenda in may, but i admit the car show would be easier to work around and less paper work and votes required.

Vette(s): 1978 Base model, White w/red int. L-48, 4-speed, wide ratio. Has 82 CE wheels. New HEI & LT1 Headers now. UPDATE, NEW Tremic 5-SPEED installed.
2007 C6 Yellow Conv. Loaded. UPDATE-Sold Sept. 2021
2016 C7 Yellow Coupe, Z-51, lots of other options.
I'm with Jeremy, although, Aprils date is my best date, can't be there in May. I also think having all of the other Vett owners in one area could get us new members, I'm willing to work the C3VR booth to promote our club.
Just my two cents worth, are we there yet, my bag is packed!!!
I'm in for the HS show preferrably however, I will most likely attend either date.
There were a TON of C-3's last year. Everything from 68-CE's, some C-2's and a few Solid Axle cars. Not as many new cars as I would have expected although there were plenty. Several C-3's at the Drag's too.
Are we there yet?
I'm with cj5nutz. I'm going to be at that show in April. Already marked it on my calendar.
So I would love to see a bunch of C3VR members there with us.

Either date works for me. My only concerns about the April date are the availability of lodging and potential traffic woes (nightmares about PF still haunt).

April is still skiing season in the Rockies. Hopefully spring will have sprung early so folks in the northern tier of states won't need to travel on snow tires and/or tire chains...!!!

April, I wana go now, I m in with Dave..Sooner rather than later..Terry
