I have been REALLY busy at my new job recently, sometimes working 14 hours a day, and I don't really see it letting up anytime soon.
Therefore, I have not really been able to do any more planning of the 2009 C3VR Member Gathering. And I know many of you are clamoring for details.
I am respectfully asking for you guys to please help us all out and form some sort of team or committee to put this thing together. ebo has already started looking into it, but I'm not sure how far he's gotten since I haven't really heard from him on it lately.
As for my personal planning purposes and for my ability to attend, it will need to be one of these dates in July. Starting on the 9th, 16th, or 23rd.
I am still hoping to do this in or around the Newport, RI area. We don't have to have our "host hotel' directly in Newport if it is too pricey. But the area is really nice and offers lots to see and do.
So, other than asking for my advise or opinion on things, I really don't see having time to do anything with the planning in the near future. I'm hoping a few of you can step up and help us all out.
Last year, JDGrant did almost all the work in the Hot Springs gathering. It helped that he lives there, for sure. So maybe there are some folks in the Newport, RI area that can help.
Thanks!

Ok gang - over 100 folks voted on the poll for the location and the majority (50) picked the New England area. Within the states of ME, NH, VT, MA, RI, CT, and NY there are nearly 100 members.
The Annual Members Gathering is YOUR gathering. To make it the best it can be local input is needed to showcase the best things that your area has to offer. Step up to the plate and be a part of the planning.

For the '07 Gathering, John(jdgrant) did 95% of the heavy lifting, and a couple others pitched in to finalize some of the smaller details....jump in and grab ahold, ya'll!!
