Haven't been on here in a while, so trying to catch up on things. Went to a wedding back in Sept. on the ocean in Mystic. Very pretty area. Lots of history. Looks like plenty to do. As a kid we use to go to the beaches in Westery RI. Some of the best around. What about a cruise from Mystic to Point Judith?

I can set up a cruise from Mystic through Warch Hill in Westerly up Rt 1 to Capt Jacks (seafood at a reasonable price) and then to Pt Judith or Newport. It would take a good part of the day.
Also someone else look at Custy's Restaurant and tell me what they think. It's a buffet with seafood, ie lobster, shrimp, stuffed clams, steak etc, etc for $69.95/person. http://www.custys.com/
Norsky's right. A trip to the Sub museum is great. It's probably only 10-15 mins from Mystic.
I'll work on the lodging as soon as the contact from the Chamber gets back in town. Actually I'll be communicating with her today.

Well Mystic is a little closer for me. 16 hour drive. I would like to make it but we will have to see what happens. I am sure the boys would have to come with which means either 2 cars or a trailer and we would need to buy a bigger truck for that. Not sure how my son will fit in. He will be 7 at that time.

$69.96 for dinner, for one???!!! Wow!
We've never been to the East Coast--hoping we can make this gathering. We really enjoyed the one in Hot Springs.

I love seafood and especially lobster, but I don't think I could eat $70 worth in one sitting. I would have to be there for 4 hours.
Lime Rock Track could be fun, depending what is going on there that week.
A land or water tour of Newport, the mansions and Cliff Walk could be part of one day.
Anyone interested in a trip to Block Island?
Do we have any sailors who would want to do a 3 hour cruise on a schooner?
A ride along the coast is a great idea. I went to Point Edith one day two years ago and had a great lunch there. Very pretty ride.
Keep the ideas flowing gang.

Hey Gang
Sorry that I will miss you guy's this year, I was hoping that the
date was July the 8th to the 11th, because I'll be going to D.C.
for My other clubs Convention (UCCC) July13 to 18th 2009. The
earlier date would have been great, but that's the way it goes.
Hope to see some of you in Bowling Green for the Caravan 09.
Have a great time and safe driving both ways to all.

For some reason that race track deal sounds interesting.
