Hope you have a good trip, dave! See you Tuesday or Wednesday! Clear the rain out for us, OK?

OK as the rookie (both with my first road trip in the vette and first gathering) here let me start asking some dumb questions......
Should I bring car detailing supplies to the gathering( besides that windex I promised)?
Are we (C3VR) doing anything special at the gathering (ie dinner, drinks etc......)?
Breakfast in Columbus????
More pointless questions to follow.........

Dan...Dan....Dan heh do you have a brother named Dan with a white 81?
Wow I'm really surprised you do not know this, or maybe it just got missed. At each Gathering usually the Rookies bring a bucket and car wash soap, for all the attending members to use. This way only one has to pack that. Everyone seems to bring detailing spray for those quick and easy touch ups.
You are not expected to wash everyones car, just keep the bucket cleaned and ready for the next wash job.
Umm yes this group does eat, but very few drink, they are more into fast cars and fast women

Man I'm so glad this is not my first gathering, the real question is how many police agencys will be stopping us. Please remember to snap that photo if it happens to you. "Heh you wanna race"

No dought E..my arm still hurts from washing all those cars at Carlisle!!..I would bring whatever you want to clean your car with..or just leave the road rash on it!! No one will judge your car!! The fast spray detail stuff works great for cleaning a car without all the washing stuff..takes up less room too..the food thing will be one of the best times of the trip..I know its been a highlight in the ones I have done..

My first parade at Carlisle 2010
Dan H.- First of all, I believe you already know, do NOT believe anything ebo tells you. That's how he got his name.

Second- the only dumb questions are the ones that ebo asks.
Third- bring what ever you like. Some guys will spend all their spare time washing their ride and others, like me, will wait for the rain. Which will probably happen during the time we are there.
The nice thing about this gathering is that there will be plenty of detailing supplies.... for sale. Maybe Mike will have some samples in the goodie bags.
As for food, I believe Tux has made some arrangements. And they tend to be a good time to really meet the other members.
Looking forward to meeting you and the others.
One of the oldies.

Dan,
folks bring anything from a simple cloth and spray bottle to a full bucket with all the acoutrements. Make sure no matter what you have towels, etc for drying your car. After sitting out all night, they're usually dew covered.
Dinner/Drinks - the hotel has arranged for dinners, although there are plenty of places near by. Some of us bring beers or wine down to the picnic tables or meet in rooms. Everybody pretty much does what they want and we all hang out.
No pressure! Pack what you want or think you'll need. If you end up not having something, someone will have it for you to borrow. So relax, make sure the car's ready to roll and get ready to have a great time!!!
Are we there yet?
I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!
