Vette(s): Used to own a 1979 Corvette now owned by JB79
I'm going to drive out Wednesday and back Sunday. I'm probably going to hookup with Lukesvette on the PA-TP.  I'll probably drive my truck all the way out, since I'll want to have my own vehicle out there so  I don't have to bug anyone for rides.

Vette(s): 2005 Daytona Sunset Orange Metallic Coupe --------------------- Sold 1974 T-top, 4 spd to BillKS

Guys, I'm not sure what to do.  Margie and I are planning a trip to see our son and grandkids in Sayre, Pa after stopping in Effingham.  That is way too far to drive the Vette, so we will have to take either her Chrysler or her (gasp) 03 Mustang GT.  We would have so much more fun if we were able to take the Vette, but just can't (not enough room for her clothes, etc. for a 3 week trip).  Let me know what you think.

I'm really looking forward to checking your ride out. I want to see the glassed in front and rear bumpers.
How about shipping some clothes out to Pa. ahead of time? I have friends that ship things out instead of paying the airlines.

Larry, I'm with ebo.  You think you're short on luggage space?  Try putting a top down!  When we went to Mystic, we shipped most of our stuff to the hotel there, then shipped it back before we left.

As far as it being too far to drive the Vette, I like ebo's other idea - drive one of each!  I'll bet there are plenty of places you could find to safely park the Vette while you continue on to PA.  Only want to drive one?  Drive the Vette and then rent something to go from Effingham to PA.

I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!
