Vette(s): #1 *1980 White, Red interior 14,000 mile #2 *1980 Red, Oyster interior 93,000 miles Resto project car, rebuilt to 383 stroker

I'm in and I will be ready for carpet set for the project car by then.

Lets see first stop pick up Dave Wright, next stop Corvette 440 (Larrys House), then onto Marshal and Candi's ranch for that skinny dippin party. Yep ebo's in. Looks like 13 hours 834 miles. And if we plan this far ahead the rooms may be freeBig smile

It was awesome to hear Mike speak so frankly about his plan. He truly knows his cars and is a huge supporter of the Corvette. I have relatives in the Effingham area as most of you know so I'm biased in my decision to say let's go for it. There are lot's of things to do outside of Effingham:

  - Casino's in St Louis and St Charles.
  - Cardinals Baseball game (It would be awesome to be there for a Cubs/Cards game)
  - Anheuser Busch tours
  - Six Flags
  - Gateway Raceway (of course if Mike has the track built.... Big smile)
  - Route 66 ( I have some great pics from the drive including Soulsbys Gas Station) We used to do poker runs on Rt 66 with the Looking Glass Corvette Club.
  - The Arch and Museum
  - Riverboat cruises

I'm sure I can come up with more if I think about it. It's not that far to St Louis....

Man, I agree its a no-brainer. Just set the date and me and Jackie will be there. I think Adam's idea to make it open to all C3's would be cool! Although I would like to have a host hotel for C3VR so the group could stay together. I'm guessing that it would be a two day trip to get up there but I'll see. Lets do it!

I would sure try to be there.  Like the idea of it being open to all C3's and if I remember correctly there are some things to do in the area.

I think some recognition to C3VR is in order for the event, however, I agree with Joel - all sharks in the pond!!Cool I'm in - the Lukester should be well broken in by then....

Vette(s): Silver 1974 Convertible - L82 4 speed Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses. 2008 Jetstream Blue Convertible
The idea of having it in the Spring was already considered and thought to be the right call.  Also, Tux and Butch did some negotiating at the Days Inn and have a great arranged rate setup in Effingham for any time a C3VR event is near.

End ebo, the 'Ool (ours has no P) will be ready for all comers

I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!

it sounds good to me. I think if we make it an all C3 event, hopefully we will entice other owners to join C3VR Kathy
