The contract for the hotel is being finalized. Linkage is below. We are scheduled to stay at the Rodeway Inn at a rate of $59.95 per night plus tax. Breakfast is included. Checkin is Wed May 16 and checkout is Sun May 20. Contact for reservations will most likely be directly with the hotel and I will provide that information as soon as available.
EBO and I are also working on the plans for the event. We will have a published agenda and signup as soon as possible. Excursions will include but are not limited to :
Isle of Palms, Wild Dunes for lunch, Sullivan's Island & Fort Moultrie
City bus tour & Folly Beach lighthouse
slave market & shopping & eating
The Hunley and/or Aquarium
Dinner cruise
Day trip to Savannah (Sat most likely)
ARE WE THERE YET !?!?!?!

You can still buy slaves!?!?!? I thought that was illegal now.

Man this trip seems to be coming together, Charleston is so neat of a place to visit. Lots to do and see, lots of history there and so much darn great food. And of course some of the best dancing around.....we do the shag there, the shag dance, not the other shag.....but that is optional.

Norsky said: If memory serves there's a retired aircraft carrier moored in the Charleston area. I've seen magazine spreads where car clubs are parked on the flight deck. That would be cool to do.
http://www.patriotspoint.org/ Yes the USS Yorktown is in Patriots Point just across the river from Charleston over on Mt. Pleasant side. A great ship to tour and would be so great to park the vettes on if possible.

Right down the street from where we are staying. We can probably squeeze this in. Parking on flight deck, we will have to see. sounds like Vettes on the Lex down in Tex. Maybe we can get some BBQ and silverware and have "pork with a fork on the York"

If we add the Vettes and some champagne, it could be "Tourque , Cork, and Pork with a fork on the York!"
and DITTO that - "Are we there yet?"
Thanks Clint and ebo!
I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!
